Always remove dried flowers and crystals before lighting. If burning with them in, do so mindfully and at your own risk. Candles also have burn memory; make sure to burn it long enough to melt up to the sides of the tin (caution; the tin can become very hot) before blowing it out else it can create tunnelling.
